Who is Bart?
Bart – The Tale of the Tail
One day I happened upon a mischievous little dog and, against what might have been my better judgement, agreed to take him on as my own. From that moment on, life was never quite the same. Bart had a talent for finding trouble – and for dragging me into it. Whether it was chasing after something he shouldn’t, escaping at the most inconvenient moment, or charming strangers into forgiving his antics, he kept my days lively and my patience tested.
To make sense of the chaos, I began keeping a journal. What started as a private record of Bart’s escapades soon became something I shared with friends and family. I am a member of a local swimming club, which at the time was in desperate need of funds. So, half in jest and half in enterprise, I began charging members a small fee to read the next instalment of Bart’s latest adventure. To my surprise, they were eager for more.
Those journal entries have now been gathered together into Bart – The Tale of the Tail. It is a light-hearted collection of true stories that celebrates companionship, humour, and the unpredictable joy animals bring into our lives. Any profit that accrues from this book will go to local charities, as a way of giving something back to the community that encouraged its creation.

Surviving Armageddon
Layli: Surviving Armageddon
Layli – Surviving Armageddon tells the story of a young girl and her kid brother forced to flee their home in the wake of an invading army. What begins as a desperate escape becomes a journey through devastation, displacement, and moral uncertainty. As they navigate bombed-out cities, hunger, betrayal, and the constant threat of violence, they form unlikely friendships – sometimes even with those once considered enemies.
The novel follows their endurance and fortitude as they overcome obstacles that repeatedly threaten to crush them. Along the way, subtle supernatural elements weave through the narrative, hinting that forces greater than politics and power may be at work. A diverse band of individuals gradually comes together, bound not by ideology but by shared suffering and shared hope. Together, they establish a fragile commune in a harsh and threatening landscape.
Despite the darkness of the setting, the story is not without humour. It is a testament to resilience, to the stubborn refusal of ordinary people to be broken. In the end, what emerges is not simply survival, but the possibility of reconciliation – a peace hard won, and fervently prayed to be everlasting.
